The KTI PMD (PD-1633-AS-LLC) unit incorporates the latest in microprocessor technology and is designed to prevent costly die damage due to improper part ejection, die overload, misfeed, and other malfunctions of automatic punch press operations.
The PMD has a 6 channel capability, each with the ability to program one of 5 functions. Two different timing windows can be internally generated by inputting a single main timer switch signal. These timing windows are programmed in degrees of crank rotation (example: on at 270 degrees off at 90 degrees).
Other important features include a timer fail-safe circuit, preset counter, a batch counter, a counter aux. relay output for automation control and a S.P.M (strokes per minute) monitor with display.
The PMD is also equipped with a 12V dc low voltage power supply for use with low voltage in-die sensors. All station inputs are connected directly to the face of the PMD or can be connected to an optional sensor interface disconnect block which inter-connects to the PMD.

Utilizing automatic sampling and adaptive learning techniques, the KTI Technologies Auotmic (DP-4066-AS-LLC) monitors the clearance between the press slide and die. The Automic interfaces with the SW-1220-AS-LLC high frequency sensor which mounts to the stripper plate. lower die or other stationary die components. Accurate to .00004 inches at speeds up to 2500 strokes per minute. The Automic will activate your machine stop circuit if pre-set high or low limits are exceeded. No machine calibration or external timing sensors is required.
